The engine roars with menace after 4,000 rpm, the sound is breathtaking. Just a terrific car! It exceeds all my expectations. It sounds right, handles fabulous and turns heads . This all-wheel drive-system is almost totally imperceptible when driving the Quatro and the chassis responds very quickly to steering input. The 420 horsepower V8 is powerful and responsive, and downshifting is rarely needed because torque is abundant throughout the entire rev range. The R tronic transmission provides for quick gear changing,and according to Audi this R8 will accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in 4.4 seconds and complete the quarter mile in 12.7 seconds and, the brakes are up to the task, with 15-inch discs with eight-piston calipers in the front and 14-inch discs with four-piston calipers in the rear. LUXURY FEATURES ABOUND Include 19-inch by 8.5-inch front and 19-inch by 11-inch rear, five-arm, double-spoke alloy wheels and front and rear four-link suspension with adaptive damping shocks that can be electronically controlled for a sportier ride with excellent handling or a comfortable cruise in any weather. Other standard features include automatic A/C, cruise control, Bluetooth hands-free communication technology, a six-disc CD/MP3 player with 145 watts, seven speakers, and Sirius satellite radio, a multi-function, entry/exit-friendly flat-bottomed, leather-wrapped steering wheel, a driver information system with an onboard computer, ten-way power-adjustable front seats, a single-frame glossy black grille, an automatically deployed rear spoiler, bi-Xenon headlights, and LED running and signal lights.
