1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 Hardtop Factory Air Conditiong 4-Spd Protect-O-Plate New In-Service Date 10/11/1965 138 VIN Real Super Sport More than 3/4 of the way to a show quality extremely desirable muscle car! We have here what we consider to be a 'Garage Find' different than a barn find because this wasn't left to collect dust in some 'ol barn. This Chevelle was kept inside heated garage waiting its turn at the body shop for the past few years where its previous owner had invested thousands in doing all the hard work in making sure he had the Bones (frame and substructure), Heart (mechanicals), and Soul (authenticating the SS lineage) so that he ended up with a stunner all the way through. The frame and undercarriage was meticulously reconditioned when it was solid to start with so that not only looked but played the part as well of an esteemed Chevelle Super Sport worthy of collecting and showing off. The Driveline was taken apart and rebuilt to specs with attention to detail down to hose clamps and even the oil filter for GM authenticity and integrity. I don't think I have to mention the fact that the factory Air Conditioning Sticker still is on the rear window. The interior is in great shape as well featuring factory bucket seats as well as Console with knee Knocker Tach, SS Dash, and Shifter with Two Finger Reverse Lockout. The Body is very original and solid with few areas in need of body work, all else is basically good prep and paint. As we said, "the hard part has been done". Take note of all the pictures, all those extra parts are included with this car and we would love to see it finished.
